    Pastor

    Pastor Dave began his ministry at St. Andrew’s in April of 2014. Prior to that time, he served congregations in Deerwood MN and West Bend WI. David is a graduate of Grand Rapids High School, Gustavus Adolphus College, and Luther Seminary. The sign on his office door says “Equipment Manager,” which he believes is the biblical job description for pastors (c.f. Ephesians 4:12). He and his wife, Gayle, have two adult children, Jake and Katie (married to Ben Maurer) ,

  • Betsy Trevena

    Children’s Ministry

    Betsy Trevena has been a member of St. Andrew’s for over 30 years. She has been involved with Children’s ministry for about 8 years as a parent/volunteer, and transitioned to her role as staff in September 2023. Betsy has a husband, 4 young children, a dog and has recently added chickens and cats to their family “farm”/backyard. She enjoys crafting, family time, being outdoors in the sunshine, hanging with the chickens, and adding a dash of glitter to the curriculum we use to teach our students the wonderful word of God. In addition to leading Sunday School she also is leading youth groups at St. Andrew’s and enjoys fellowship and fun with all the kids.

    Favorite Bible verse: Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”

  • Doreen Seekon

    Office Manager

    Doreen began serving as Office Manager in September 2023. Prior to that she and her husband John owned and managed a resort. She has also worked as a driving instructor in Grand Rapids. She enjoys sewing and ash been active doing so for the Grand Rapids Players. She and John have an adult daughter, Maggie.

  • Jan Bilden

    Organist

    Organist Jan grew up in a small Norwegian Lutheran town in the Red River Valley of North Dakota. She began organ lessons in 8th grade, and began playing in her home church two years later. Jan attended Concordia College (Moorhead) where she developed a great appreciation and love of organ music. With a few gaps, Jan has been a church organist since college, playing at St. Michaels Catholic Church (Stillwater), Our Saviors Lutheran (Fairfax MN), Central Lutheran (rural Fairfax) and at St. Andrew’s since 1994. One of her goals is to provide the best music possible for our worship.

Council Leadership

The Congregation Council is comprised of 11 members elected for a 3-year term by the congregation, along with the Pastor. Together, they discern and tend to the vision and mission of St. Andrew’s, have fiduciary responsibility for our organization, set policies, and oversee the variety of ministries. Each council member serves as liaison to one of four ministry areas:

Faith in Action – focuses on engaging people to live out their faith by serving, volunteering, and getting involved

Faith Formation and Journey – this encompasses all educational and discipleship ministries, including Children, Youth, and Family ministries, adult education, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Bible Studies etc.

Site Care and Planning –  overseeing anything to do with our facilities and property.

Financial Planning and Giving –  Encouraging intentional financial stewardship (giving) and guiding the use of those financial gifts.
